An open-plan residential kitchen, featuring handmade reclaimed Douglas fir cabinetry milled from 100 year old structural beams and bamboo countertops. Ample storage in base cabinets and center island minimizes the need for upper cabinets, creating a spacious feel and maximizing views out the large kitchen windows. A salvaged steel freight elevator door keeps the built-in pantry neatly hidden from view, and slides behind refrigerator on a barn-style hinge when open.
